Das Blockhaus hat nur am Samstag, Sonntag und Montag geöffnet und wird von einem älteren Ehepaar geführt. Die Einheimischen Spaziergänger und Wanderer machen hier umgeben vom Stadtwald unter Laubbäumen gerne Rast. Zu Essen gibt es in Selbsabholung am Küchenfenster "Hessisch Fastfood": Rindswurst, Handkäs mit Musik etc. Natürlich wird neben sonstigen Getränken auch Apfelwein angeboten. Die Preise stammen anscheinend noch aus der Vorkriegszeit.

The log house is the most beautiful place where you can come to Gelnhausen in summer with friends and drink an eppelwoi outside and eat a hand cheese or other very simple but well prepared dishes. A rare magical place.
