Popped in for a bite to eat before the movies, told no tables available, put in the back section...only there for an hour and the tables' that were reserved still weren't taken....maybe you should be giving your customers the option of seating compared to how long they would be...the restaurant has a better atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious, service also good. Vietnamese Espresso Martini ($15) the bomb! Wan... View all feedback.

Would highly recommend share plates at Mr Umami's, 3 of us shared one great BBQ chicken dish, one plate of 'crispy duck' that tasted like rissoles ( would not recommend those ). The staff were friendly however forgot 2 of our dishes...by which the dumplings were sold out. Probably teething problems but don't dismiss. View all feedback.

A fun place to meet up with a couple of friends, one cocktail from the list that was amazing (pornstar martini), then when they had run out ingredients they made me an even more delicious alternative. Fair selection of shareable Asian dishes, the crab claw was great, the pork wraps not bad, the dumplings a great size but average.
Had a lovely evening because we were catching up with family. However we were not impressed at all with this place. Wait staff did their best...kitchen staff struggled to meet the orders and present them within a reasonable time line. Food just ok. We wont be recommending this place to anyone...
Really enjoyable food , always consistent and favourite would have to be the beef cheeeks massaman curry.
I love the concept here. I like sharing plates - tend to taste even when not sharing... The food is interesting and sauces are wonderful. I was a little disappointed with a lack of seasoning. Everything needed salt.I believe the food should stand up on its own, without sauce. The popcorn chicken was bland. Corn fritters were lovely with sauce. Kingfish sashimi needed a touch more acidity. Pork roll ups - the pork was tasteless! Hard to achieve with bbq! Chicken and mushroom dumplings were delicate but more mushroom would have improved them. Best were the chicken skewers. Really tasty. All that said, my partner in eating has visited before and loved it... Do love the decor, anime projections and clever lighting. It is fun
