I came across this charming small pub while walking from Woolsthorpe to Denton along The Grantham Canal, and what a gem it turned out to be! Georgie and the rest of the staff gave us a very warm welcome. We tried one of the most delicious pizzas we've ever had. We look forward to visiting this delightful pub again soon. What User doesn't like about The Welby Arms:
Dogs running around the pub including in the kitchen , old domestic equipment , tiles falling off the wall, stopped working there because of it , and the owners wouldn't pay me because I left !! Warning to all others going to work there ,...seem like a nice couple but totally I trust worthy !!! View all feedback.
Had an amazing fish goujon ciabatta today. Amazing succulent hand made fresh fish goujons in a lightly toasted ciabatta with tartare sauce, chips, coleslaw and salad. Delicious! Good value too.
There for family party.The pub wad fairly busy and had to wait fair while.But there was plenty food on plates...
Lovely meal for 2 whilst staying in Denton. Would highly recommend the Schnitzel and the Kung Po prawns Friendly and attentive hosts Best of all really good value for money
Looking for a village pub for lunch we found this lovely place. With an excellent lunchtime menu of slightly smaller portions (although these were definitely not small but perfectly sized). We had the fish and chips and the chicken schnitzel, both were excellent. Great waiting staff and a very reasonable bill for lunch made for a top rating.
What a gem! We hadn’t originally planned to visit this pub, but we are so pleased we did. Walking in we were surprised at what lovely decor and such a homely feel. Delightful colours on the wall, woodwork and a really lovely little bar. Food was delicious. Accessibility was perfect for my disabled wife who needs extra space to manoeuvre around from her wheelchair to the seating area. We loved every bit of this!
