So please take extra time when you plan here to take lunch/dinner.

Despite the low prices,... read more I have frequented Govind's restaurant numerous times. It is one of the best affordable vegetarian restaurants in the Paltan Bazar area. Despite the low prices, one can enjoy delicious and hygienic food in a peaceful and clean environment. Govind's offers a wide variety of vegetarian dishes at reasonable prices. As a vegetarian, I always choose to dine at Govind's when I am in the Paltan Bazar area. I believe that 200 rupees is enough to dine at Govind's, as their lunch or dinner costs only 110 rupees.

Has a soothing atmosphere that goes wonderfully with the dimly lit ambiance. The only downer is that they serve lunch only until 3 and certain items can only be ordered within set times. But otherwise, their food will make you keep coming back.<br/ <br/ The service during the lunch hours (from 1 2/2.30ish) is quite quick. But coming for a dinner here, they tend to take longer. <br/ <br/ The food reminds me a lot of ghar ka khaana. One of the few places to serve a good roti. I also love their Dal Fry and Paneer makkhanwala. I thought the Paneer would be sweet but it was superb the balance of sweetness was just right. <br/ <br/ I would also recommend their Thali the best in 100 bucks! They offer dal, two sabzis, raita and a kheer along with rice, rotis and papad. <br/ <br/ I've even tried their Chinese and South Indian was good enough. <br/ <br/ I love this place for its simplicity and the way you can just sit here and unwind. A place for all who live on a tight budget and for those craving good ol' desi food. The Menu might be limited in its options, but it sure warms your heart (and fills your tummy, in a good way)!
