The Sea Merchant - GATTON

As regular customers, we typically enjoy well-cooked, fresh, and reasonably priced fish and chips at this restaurant. The calamari used to be a standout dish with beautifully thick, tender pieces cooked to perfection. However, recently it has become thinner and often overcooked, possibly due to David's reduced involvement in the kitchen. Overall, while the quality may have dipped slightly, this place still serves some of the best fish and chips inland, and even rivals those found on the coast.

Great service quality product always efficient and tasty. The only place I would buy my fish and chips and fish and chips is my favourite meal.

For one point this place is never open, when it is they employ kids who are totally disinterested! Absolutely on another planet!

Went there with friends for some sea food and all i got was grease and batter. Absolutely disgusting. No potato in the scallops, no fish in the snapper. Never again. Wouldnt give it to my dog. Only giving them 1 star cuz i cant send it without one. Nicest thing on my plate was the lemon.

This place is clean, the food is pretty damn good and well priced. The staff are friendly and were more than happy to do things a little different for us. (daughter has odd tastes).
