The atmosphere is awesome, the staff are incredible! It definitely has that small town vibe but we were instantly made to feel like family! And then the food was amazing!! Shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles and the seafood eggs benny were all delish!! Not to mention the beignets!!!! View all feedback.
Joined friends here for breakfast and really enjoyed it tremendously. Service was awesome, food great, and the atmosphere cozy for sure. I had the Seafood Benedict (made with lots of lobster meat) that was delicious with a side of Bacon Ranch Grits that were a bit dry, but very tasty. All four of us really enjoyed the food and the warm (and somewhat tight) surroundings. I understand this place is quite popular, so plan on a wait in the busy times. Worth it, though!
Do not be fooled by the shim sham looking outside of the restaurant; you are about to be in for a treat. We just left after having a phenomenal lunch! They have about 20 different varieties of lobster rolls, so the toughest part of lunch is making a decision. I went with the Boston Terrier roll, but my brother and sister got the Italian and some german sounding variety. Each one was delicious. I got my son the chicken tenders from the kids menu, and it was a delightful surprise. These are not your average chicken tenders!
Amazing food and the chef worked with our GF food issues! If there was more than a 5 star rating I would give it
So this is a new concept. They purchase old homes and keep it like grandmas house. There's no AC but you don't need it when the staff is so incredibly friend and passionate about their chef and location. They were excited to share they're franchising and had genuine pride in their work.
The food was average but the service and cleanliness definitely needs improvement. My wife and I came here for lunch. She has a small, quiet, service dog for seizure alerts. An eight pound Yorkie-Maltese. I'm not sure who she is, but the woman in a white t-shirt told us we would need the approval of the other diners in the room, and if any objected that we wouldn't be allowed to eat there. I'm guessing she is unfamiliar with the ADA and the severity of the fines for violating it. We sat in the southwest corner room, waited about ten minutes for our waitress to show up with menus and water. After another ten minutes she came and took our order. She seemed nice but not very focused. Two of the other tables in the room were unoccupied the entire time we were there, yet both remained dirty the whole time. I would estimate it took about 30-40 minutes after sitting to receive our food and maybe another 20 minutes to eat. These tables remained dirty for an hour. Another couple sat at the last table in the room and after about 15-20 minutes of being ignored got up and left. The lobster bisque was lukewarm and gritty, the cornbread was dry and had an odd taste. The lobster pot pie was very tasty though. My wife's Chesapeake crab cake sandwich was tasty but also lukewarm. I had to ask three times to get my soda, and our requested refill of water never came. I'd read positive reviews and expected a much better experience. We were sadly disappointed.
