What User doesn't like about Stoltzfus Bbq Fresh Poultry, Llc:
If you want rotisserie chicken wings do yourself a favor and go to Westtown Amish Market 's Jarlan 's Poultry, they actually have skin and meat on their rotisserie chicken wings . If you want breading on your wings then Stoltzfus BBQ is okay, as the breading holds the skin and meat to the wings. View all feedback.
Now I'm back home, facing my rib-snob husband and mother — and I can't help but give them the side-eye. Well, I can officially say they loved the ribs! Phew! That's one less meal I have to prepare. I’m starting to think this might become a regular stop for me, especially since it’s just down the road from Penns Woods Winery. I might as well take care of two things at once: enjoy some good food and good drinks!
Stoltzfus has multiple stalls at Booth's Corner Farmers Market, each offering different products. I particularly enjoy the Produce and Meat stands, where I found some of the BEST meatballs (pre-made but raw, so you cook them yourself) and center-cut pork chops. Their homemade loose sausage is also fantastic, whether used in breakfast dishes or Italian baked pasta. Esh's Eggs is a subsection of the Produce stall, where Mr. Esh (I assume that's his name) sells both brown and white chicken eggs in various sizes, as well as goose and duck eggs. I absolutely love Stoltzfus!

I've been going to this place for years. Now it may be the shift in the tradition and changing of the tide. But the chicken leaves much to be desired. Either burnt to a charred crisp or half done meaning the skin is not browned just wimpy. Not very tasty as this is my second time experiencing this in a matter of weeks so it's not because there aren't enough workers. There needs to be quality control. I'm not going to buy anything else cooked, from the flavorless regular fried chicken to the beans. I have no idea but it seems like they are living off a dying legacy. I'm saddened and also angry because I spent a lot of money on some things that I could have made myself. Lesson learned I left this 2 weeks ago apparently under Meats...not Poultry and it was meant for this merchant.
Today is Sunday, and as we drove past, my grandson and I said at the same time, "Should we stop at Booth's?" Now I'm craving it again! I've been too busy to visit recently, but I’m determined to go next weekend. I also love their raw meats; you can't beat the ground beef and the pre-made meatballs. Just throw them in your favorite jarred sauce, freshly grate some good Parm or Romano cheese on top, and you’re all set. Mmmm!
