The casual atmosphere makes both locals and tourists feel comfortable. Vegan options are available, although some items advertised as vegan are not truly plant-based. Service can be slow due to short staffing, but the staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious, especially the burgers, poutine, and Creole prawns. The Caesar drinks are recommended for a spicy kick. Despite challenges with parking and occasional noise from sports games, the overall experience is enjoyable and worth a return visit.
First glances are not impressive. We drove by it twice before realizing it was the restaurant we wanted and not a dumpy house. However, the views are amazing, waitress super friendly and food fabulous. It got a little chilly and they had blankets for those on the porch. Really surprised at the quality of the food. It wasn't your typical Canadian pub fare. Loved the baked brie. The whole table devoured their meals happily. The staff was very welcoming and informative about menu and the area as well. Will be back --
Stopped here on the way back from Whistler for a family dinner. It was busy when we arrived at about 6pm but got a table quickly. We managed to get a table on the veranda and had a fantastic view of the river and mountains. Never had a better view in a restaurant to be honest. Great menu and not too expensive. Portions were very large and the burgers we had were really well cooked and tasted great. The wings we had for.a starter we all agreed were the best we'd ever had. We shared a pudding of freshly cooked cinnamon doughnuts and ice cream. Gorgeous. Loads of local beers to choose from. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and enthusiastic. All in all we'd highly recommend this place. To top it off we also saw a seal in the river close to the river bank and sat watching it surface and.dive for a while. There was also a noticeboard saying that eagles flew down the valley. We didn't see any unfortunately.
We were recommended this eatery after our rafting experience. The location is lovely on the Squamish river. The food is a good selection of simple good food at a reasonable price.I would recommend a fleece or cardigan if visiting in the evening as it can get cooler when the sunsets
We stopped here for a post hike meal, ordering burgers and a salad. Decent meal, but not a lot of shade on the patio. We didn't want to sit inside because it was even hotter.
One of the most gorgeous views I have had in my life eating lunch on this beautiful river. We sat outside on a sunny day and they put up an umbrella for us. Friendly wait staff, nice options for kids, gluten free options. One of the highlights of our trip!
