Server was Tami, she was amazing! The portion sizes are great. I had the popcorn shrimp, it was delicious up until I got to the fries, the fries are delicious but as I was eating, I tasted something off and bitter. My husband had 9-1-1 burger. I had to take a bite of it, 10/10! It was so good! View all feedback.
What Brenton Van Amburg doesn't like about Garibaldi Portside Bistro:
Our family had dinner here one night on our trip to Rockaway Beach. Service was great, drinks were fantastic. Unfortunately the food was just so so. We got a couple different burgers and they just weren't very good. Others in my group had really bland pasta noodles. View all feedback.
Phenomenal! My mom and I stayed in Rockaway and both nights we ordered food to go for dinner. My mom loved the tropical salad she ordered it two nights in a row, said the chicken quantity was generous! I ordered the pesto Alfredo the first night, and the crab sandwich with the sweet potato upgrade the second. The pasta was fantastic and the container was so full I ate it three times and never finished! The pesto flavor was on point, the chicken and cheese quantity was also generous, I felt there was plenty of sauce. Only thing missing was some better garlic bread the artisan is a little flat and hard for my taste. The crab sandwich was insane (see pictures) I've never had that much crab meat at one time in my life! It was a struggle to bite into and I'm not complaining about that. The only thing missing was some flavor, I would have loved a little butter, or garlic, or lemon, anything to give it a little something. Also, do yourself a favor and try the carrot cake. I don't usually make that selection, but it's my mom's favorite so we got a slice to share... Not only was the slice huge, but the ratio of frosting on top in my opinion was perfect and the flavor was also fantastic! The location is also super cute, I'll be back for sure!
Hard to believe the fishing boats are right out the window and you can’t order fish. Seemed to be a popular place but no seafood that was worth visiting for. Popcorn shrimp is equivalent to a Popeyes. I can to the coast for seafood and it is impossible to find.
The chowder is actually seafood chowder, not clam chowder. Note this when ordering!
Food and beer were tasty. Nice and breezy next to the water. I really liked the Alfredo pasta with spicy shrimp. We enjoy eating here. It has become much more popular over the last few years so consider making reservations.
Hostess is not at fault here, but having to wait 45 minutes to find seating for one person is not acceptable. Not a good first impression for someone visiting from afar.
