Description

Garforth Spice offers a dining experience that intrigues with its blend of flavors and attentive service. While some diners rave about the perfectly seasoned curries and warm atmosphere, others express disappointment over tough meat and missing ingredients in their orders. The restaurant, which encourages guests to bring their own drinks and pays exclusively in cash, has dedicated patrons who admire its reasonable prices and extensive menu. However, service consistency and food quality appear to be a hit or miss. Overall, Garforth Spice presents a culinary journey worth exploring, albeit with a touch of caution.

Superb takeaway service, tasty, generous portions really enjoyed our food time after time.

Visited Garforth spice on a bank holiday and had the Sunday special deal. It's good overall value, poppadoms and pickle tray are not included in the set price. On arrival there was a little wait while staff broke their fast which wasn't a problem. Your welcome to bring your own drink to the restaurant as they don't have a licence to serve alcohol. Had the mixed starter, which was just about enough for 2. The Murgh Masala curry was really nice and had lots of flavour. Your not made to feel rushe

Dining Experience: Dinner Price Range: £10–20 per person Food Quality: 5/5 Service Quality: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Recommended Dish: Assorted Curries I had a delightful dinner at this restaurant, where everything truly exceeded my expectations. The food was outstanding, particularly the assorted curries, which were bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, making our meal even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, providing a perfect backdrop for a relaxing dining experience. I highly recommend trying the assorted curries if you visit!

Not a pleasant experience, and I won't be returning. All the meat in our order was tough, even the chicken, and I've never encountered such a tough and chewy chicken in a Madras curry before. Additionally, they only accept cash, which meant I had to go search for an ATM. Service: Takeout Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20.

This was appalling! Lamb Korma had next to no lamb in it, and when returned they did not seem at all apologetic. This dish was £9.80, but the owner still complained about how much lamb cost per kg. Also had Chicken Jalfrezi, worst I have had, it was in a creamy sauce where normally tomatoes. Specifically asked for no green peppers in the dish, but was full of them which I had to pick out, and also only a small amount of chicken in dish. On reflection they also did not deduct the 10% collection discount as stated on website and menu. All in all would recommend you avoid. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner
