Woodett's Diner - Gardnerville

A great local restaurant, large portions and delicious, staff super friendly, and a plus for me is their salad bar. New owners are the greatest. Trying new menu items, French. Big hit!!! I have been going to Woodetts for 21 years and will continue to enjoy my visits.

The portions are generous at this restaurant! Perfect for sharing or for those with a big appetite. The comfort food is delicious and satisfying. We tried the breakfast, which included two eggs, hash browns, carrots, cookies, and gravy, all served on a huge oval plate. Another breakfast option was sausage links, eggs, and hash brown potatoes, also served on a large oval plate. I ordered the pork chop hash with three eggs, which covered the entire plate. My son had a double cheeseburger and fries, but the burger was so large that he struggled to fit it in his mouth - it was entertaining to watch! The service was quick and friendly, with minimal wait time for a table. The parking was easy and wheelchair accessible. A local favorite spot for sure.

I highly recommend Woodett's Diner. I recently stopped by and was not disappointed. I had a wonderful experience - the atmosphere is pleasant and the food is delicious. The new owners have created a very welcoming environment. The kitchen and dining room staff were excellent. The new French-inspired menu is fantastic. Thank you to everyone at Woodett's for their hard work and dedication.

When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant was elegantly decorated with white tablecloths, candles, and beautiful silverware, creating a sophisticated European atmosphere. The meal I enjoyed included a salad with goat cheese toast points, filet mignon with a delicious peppercorn sauce, creamy mashed potatoes, a lovely vegetable medley, and a caramel cream dessert. The portion sizes were generous, and I ended up taking some leftovers home. The chef even came out to greet me, and the service was impeccable. The presentation of the dishes was reminiscent of upscale fine dining establishments rather than a casual bistro. Overall, my experience exceeded my expectations, and I left feeling satisfied and impressed.

The food is fantastic and the service is top-notch. The owners are lovely! I highly recommend this place!!
