The mochi here is amazing, with a variety of delicious flavors to choose from. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to try something new. I often bring a mixed box to share with my coworkers at work because they are like little bites of happiness. View all feedback.
It was really good and the mochi's are really good I recommend going to this place
Rice cake here is rather art than just food. Every piece has very detailed elegant touch. Cash only though.
So incredibly beautiful and yummy. What a rare special treat!
The mochi at this restaurant is exceptionally well made and delicious. It's a must-visit for me every time I'm in LA.
I have been meaning to write this review for a while now- Los Angeles has a few small, family-owned mochi shops that have been around for decades, and Chikara is one of them. The presentation of their mochi is beautiful, but it is not cheap. For $20, you can purchase a nicely assorted box of mochi to give as a gift, but they only accept cash. They also prepare the mochi differently depending on whether it is a gift or for personal consumption. Some of my favorite flavors include Kiku, Sakura, Nadeshiko, and Strawberry. While Chikara may be pricier than other mochi shops, I believe it is worth it because their mochi is the chewiest I have ever had.
