A delightful surprise in G Town! I've visited this restaurant a few times, as evident from the photos. Each time, I’m greeted with a sense of warmth and hospitality, along with some excellent Mexican cuisine. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Plus, the abundance of parking spaces in this strip mall makes finding a spot easy. You really should check it out! View all feedback.
This is Barnone, the best authentic Mexican food you can find outside a Mexican house. The taste was structured, layered and absolutely delicious from the front to the end. We were blown away how brilliant the dishes were. We live in Pasadena and have no problem traveling an hour for food that will ruin you for any other kind of Mexican type of restaurants.
Awesome tamales! They remodeled the place and changed the name but it's still the same owners. Go down and check it out. Great for watching sports while you chiw down on some authentic Mexican food. Thumbs up for me.
This place apparently has been here for years but they just recently rebranded themselves within the last few months. Aesthetically I like the heavy Mexican ambiance. None of that really matters tho because it's all about the food. And the food was sooo good. The chilaquiles were deliciously spicy, especially with their habanero salsa. The things you can't miss out on are the bacon elote and the pineapple tamale dessert. These dishes definitely won't be helping you with your new years resolutions, but find a way to make it your cheat meal. Biggest downside was that there are no pokestops within reach. Bummer.
I cannot stress enough how wonderful this simple, authentic, home style food is. This restaurant has authentic food, large portions, and low prices. This is not a fancy place. It might be easy to nitpick service, ambiance, whatever, but if you love real Mexican food, you will love this place. I had two tamales: one pork and one cheese and jalapeño as well as an asada sope. That was a lot of food. The sope was fresh, hand made, and one of the best I've ever had. The crema fresca and cotija were perfect. The tamales were fluffy, just spicy enough, and absolutely wonderful. This is a real mom pop operation, and the cooking is great.
Great Tamales!!! Was pretty overpriced, but also before the holidays so they had raised the price for a dozen tamales. If you're looking for a good, authentic place to get tamales, I'd recommend Tatianas..
