Good Pho Ga Open 24/7. My legal father brought us here a few weeks ago and we've been back for two times. This owner began the Pho-Price Wars in Little Saigon by offering 50% of all their Pho Ga (Chicken) soups. Your sister business, Pho Vinh Ky II, offers the same 50% discount on regular beef Pho. We visited the pho restaurant across the street but were disappointed to find that they didn't offer vegetable broth. Fortunately, we discovered this place that serves a delicious and hearty vegetarian/vegan pho. The vegetables were quite tender, and I would have liked some tofu added, but the broth made it worth the trip! Please note that they only accept cash, but there's an ATM available in the store and a Bank of America within walking distance across the street.
As for the food, I found the Pho ga to be just average. Personally, I wouldn't pay $11 for it, but a price range of $5 to $6 seems more reasonable. I highly recommend opting for the larger size, which is significantly bigger than what you find at most pho places. The broth leans a bit towards the sweet side, but it's not unappetizing by any means. You get a generous amount of meat in your bowl, and the white meat is juicy, not dry. The real standout, however, is the liver. I usually steer clear of liver because it often has a metallic taste, but here it was pleasantly mild and quite clean-tasting. It's also cooked just right—neither overcooked nor too soft—adding a nice texture to the dish. This restaurant was a great spot to relax after a long day at Disneyland, and I would definitely return.
I mainly go to the Asian Bistro 7 for my Pho. But honestly, that was really good. They are also open 24 hours a day. Bistro is not, so his pretty close second if not first.
My go to place for pho ga, or chicken pho for those that don't know. Cash only, open 24/7. We come here when we are down on our luck fishing late at night.
