New Island Seafood - Garden Grove

I had a hot tea that the house splashed and steamed rice. It should be spicy, but there was not much spice.

I love their lobsters with their special sauce, and I trust they cooked my lobsters without being taxes by their chefs. Their lobsters are fresh 10 out of 10 times I ordered to go. Too bad we still not able to dine in due to CV19.

I remember this was another Vietnamese/ Cantonese seafood restaurant long time ago. We normally go to King Harbor for fresh lobsters but we were closer to this place after some drinking at a dive in the area. The menus were great with so many fresh seafood choices, but it was only the two of us so we just went for lobster. And they didn't have smaller lobsters so a 6 lbs lobster was more than enough for hubby and I. We decided on fresh lobster in house special and sautéed bean sprouts, also two bottles of Coronas. The lobster was so fresh, meaty and comforting, not to mention it was huge. Hubby and I barely finished half of of it so we had a lot of food to take home. Veggies were flavorful and delicious too. The service was very attentive and friendly which was much better than usual Asian restaurants. This place looks more upscale than the restaurants in this area too. I really enjoyed the food and service here, we would definitely come back for more delicious seafood, preferably with more ppl so we could order more food to share!

A Yelp buddy and I decided to give this place a try for the first time last week. It's fairly brand new and opened three months ago. Though I'm not big on Chinese food and he loves it, I allowed him to order for us. We ordered three items from the lunch special menu. Anything on the lunch menu is priced under $8.00. Plenty of options to choose from. We also had the option to choose from the dinner menu, which we declined. We ordered a seafood dish and two steak dishes. I had never tried any of the dishes before but I did enjoy. One of the steak dishes is popular in the Viet cuisine and I highly enjoyed this dish and would order again. The squid was just okay for me. I didnt try the shrimp therefore I cannot comment. Service went well. The server who I also believed was the owner was extremely gracious and checked in on our table on a constant basis. When it came time for the to go boxes and the check, the server was already one step ahead. I left satisfied and would make a return visit to try other items. Lunch is cheap and dinner prices are affordable as well.

We had friends from the city that visited Disneyland, and we decided to take them to New Island Seafood as it was near Disneyland. I must say that their seafood is always fresh and tasty here! Your dinner menu portions are generous and great for sharing. The waitress is very beautiful and excellent. After our meal we also got free dessert. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine, you need to check this place.
