In a wasteland barren of Dim Sum there stands a lone bastion of bamboo steamers as a beacon of hope in SD. Yes... CRYSTAL DUMPLINGS has the goods. A huge and sprawling dining room littered with stainless steel carts loaded with delicious delicacies welcomes the weary traveler and provides all the classics. Grab a communal table, make some friends. Hail down the folks pushing the carts and point out exactly what it is... View all feedback.
What Evonne L doesn't like about Crystal Dumplings:
We wanted to love it, and the actual place looks really cute and clean, but the food is just ok. I was between 2 and 3 stars bc we just weren 't impressed with the authenticity/quality of the food. The shrimp rice noodle roll for example, was not even made w the thin rice paper, it was made w the same thicker dough as the ha gow. And what really took me over the edge was the size of the shrimps- itty bitty baby shrim... View all feedback.

Grab a communal table, make some friends. Hail down the folks pushing the carts and point out exactly what it is that you want! No need to peruse a menu. No waiting for the kitchen. Get a double order of the chili oil and don't forget to get an order of the shrimp rice rolls. You can thank me later pal
Food is authentic and delicious. I have always wanted to try their food but they close at 4pm. Wish they were a bit closer to my workplace so I can go here everyday.
“Frozen food heat up take out” tasteSoup dumplings no soup, flavor is off, some frozen grocery store brand taste way better than theirs. Served with soya sauce (soup dumplings are served with ginger and vinegar), and I was told no vinegar provided.Shrimp dumplings the “skin” tastes soggy and doughy (bad).Chicken feet overwhelmingly sweet, marinated with curry.Overall low quality of taste stuff. Buy some frozen ones and steam at home likely better.Service pay at the counter after ordering, no table service. Store attendants mainly busy packing to go orders. Disposable food containers, lots of plastic.Atmosphere few tables for sit down customers, table surface is sticky.Parking very limited, all lots marked with different store name. We dropped by on Saturday lunch time. No parking space available
Service: 5/5 very friendly, you pay at the cashier and wait for your order, self serve and clean up. Food: 2/5 everything just broke apart, shumai, wontons, rice noodle rolls all broke as soon as you pick it up, very dry. The food was alright to eat. Their chili oil tasted a bit weird to me, so the spicy wontons was not good. The shumai and shrimp chives dumplings just wasn't good. The only thing that is decent to eat is the chicken feet, taste wise 7.5/10, but it's very soggy. It was falling apart, too. By far, this is my first time having a bad experience with dim sum or dumplings in general. But, if you're looking for take out or something fast to eat without having to wait for hours then this is it, they keep their food warm not hot.
Really kind and attentive service, but the food is inconsistent. The first time I got chicken feet and shumai and both were great. However, I came back to try the cheung fun banh cuon Tom and it was awful. No bounce in the noodle, it just fell apart. So disappointing! Guess I should just stick to Thanh Tri next door for my banh cuon fix.
