This place never disappoints! Always consistent and tasty. I get the Tofu and Quinoa and Sesam Avocado. I scavenge the pages of broccoli, sweet potatoes, veal and chickpeas salad, bees.... Everything is so delicious and worth the money. View all feedback.
What Daniella Stephen doesn't like about Little Beet:
My 2nd time at this Little Beet. 1st time it was tasty but had me going right to the bathroom when I was done. I assumed it was just my finicky stomach reacting to the fiber/greens, so decided to give it another chance. A previous reviewer mentioned the salmon being crispy honestly it’s moist and with a nice bit of texture on the outside, which I like. Also got the tofu and Brussel sprouts and those were delicious. The food was quite disappointing. The salmon was dry and unpleasant, resembling cardboard. I ordered the Paleo bowl, which contained only 1.75 ounces of overcooked farm-raised salmon, 3 ounces of sweet potato, mixed greens, and half an avocado that wasn’t ripe. I could only enjoy two small slices from the otherwise hard avocado. The food was heavily salted and felt overpriced. I understand it’s in a mall, so I should have expected less. It’s particularly disheartening because this restaurant used to be excellent when it first opened; I hadn’t been in a few years, and it’s clearly not the same place anymore.
This is my second visit to The Little Beet. The first time the food was enjoyable, but it sent me running to the bathroom afterward. I thought it was just my sensitive stomach reacting to the fiber and greens, so I decided to give it another shot. A previous reviewer mentioned that the salmon was crispy, but I found it to be moist with a nice texture on the outside, which I appreciated. I also tried the tofu and Brussels sprouts, and those were delicious. Unfortunately, the service was not great. The gentleman who prepared my bowl seemed genuinely annoyed and looked like I was wasting his time. Once again, I ended up rushing to the bathroom right after eating. I cannot recommend this place.
I truly wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but unfortunately, the salmon was overcooked and had a tough, crunchy texture, almost like bone. The vegetables were excessively salty, and what should have been a healthy meal ended up feeling less appealing.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Little Beet and decided to try their Low FODMAP Bowl. Let me tell you, it was a delightful experience! The Low FODMAP Bowl consisted of seared salmon, quinoa, charred broccoli, and sweet potatoes, all expertly combined to create a well-balanced and flavorful dish. The seared salmon was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender, flaky flesh that melted in my mouth. It paired wonderfully with the nutty quinoa, which added a satisfying texture to the bowl. The charred broccoli brought a lovely smoky flavor to the dish, complementing the other ingredients beautifully. It was cooked just right, retaining a slight crunch while still being tender. The sweet potatoes added a touch of natural sweetness and provided a comforting element to the bowl. Not only was the flavor profile of the Low FODMAP Bowl exceptional, but the portion size was also just right. With only 600 calories, it was a healthy and filling option that left me satisfied without feeling weighed down.Overall, my first experience at The Little Beet was a memorable one, thanks to their delicious Low FODMAP Bowl. If you 're looking for a flavorful, balanced meal that caters to specific dietary needs, I highly recommend giving it a try. I 'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu offerings in the future!
I am actually addicted to this place. For some reason, the one at Roosevelt is way better than the one near Bryant Park (or any other location in Manhattan). So good, service is great. I love healthy food so I love coming here! I would recommend the salmon, the broccoli, and the sweet potatoes. They stand out to me. I also adore the avocado bean dip (it's like guac but with beans! so good and extra protein boost).
