The root beer float was AMAZING!! Some kind of local craft root beer. Nachos were very good. We were super cold sitting under an AC vent, moved and it still felt overly chilled. Very cool decor with cars on lifts. Super clean. Was right next to our motel. View all feedback.
What Ben Hauser doesn't like about Cody's Gastro Garage:
The burger was dry. They were out of a lot of things on the menu, maybe they left the sauce off the burger. The tacos looked the best but they were pretty small. The sweet potato fries weren't cooked thoroughly. The red dye from the food paper bled onto the bun of the Philly cheese steak, which didn't look great to begin with. Everything was so overcooked and didn't taste fresh at all.
There were only a few people in the dining area and it took 45 minutes for us to get our food. The food was good though but the service was slow. Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is fun and there are tvs to entertain kids.
Reviews looked decent, but my experience was the same as most of the other 1 star reviews. My family of 4 stopped in at 5pm for dinner, my wife and I and two young children. Right off the bat they were out of stuff: I ordered a beer, they had that My wife and daughter ordered a root beer float out of that. Water and sprite it is. Son asked for a lemonade out of that. Apple juice is what he got. Got our drinks and we're forgotten about for 30 minutes. Order for dinner; Wife turkey bacon avacado sandwich with fries Daughter shrimp basket, out of that. Fish basket, out of that. Wings, out of that. Finally settled on the tacos with lettuce instead of cabbage and a salad but they were out of the salad so she had to get soup and fries. Son hamburger with lettuce, tomato, pickles and ketchup with fries Me settled on a quesadilla Order a second beer. Another 30 minutes pass. Food comes out surprise! They are out of fries, wife gets sweet potato fries, kids get onion rings. Wife's sandwich is some kind of melt with cheese on it, no tomato, barely lettuce. Daughter is basically tortilla and some chicken (none of the other toppings). Son gets a cheeseburger with nothing on it. I had nothing delivered at that point, but sons cheeseburger at that point is taken back to be fixed. After a couple minutes, we decided we didn't actually want any of this. Talked to the manager and told him I'll pay for my two beer and two children's drinks, gave a $20 and headed out. Overall, terrible experience really compounded by the fact that they were out of everything and were skimping on things they did have and substituting willy nilly when they needed to.
