We decided to have some late-night appetizers tonight. Our bartender, Casey, was excellent! It was a pleasant surprise to have such a great server/bartender. The bar was a fun place to sit, enjoy some happy hour appetizers, and have wonderful conversations. Thank you for a great time, Casey! View all feedback.
What Mackenzie S doesn't like about Applebee's Grill:
We have been frequenting this restaurant for some time now and have always enjoyed our meals. Unfortunately, after our visit tonight, we were left feeling saddened and disappointed by the quality of the battered fries. View all feedback.
Does not believe the four stars! also read the other reviews. here is a must! this is our visit to the restaurant, so we know it well. also during covid we have ordered out. between then and now he jumped the hai with posture, manage, efficiency and great food. There is no more. today we ordered an oriental salate with double dressing, French suppe, and hamburger and brokkoli. we did not get the brokkoli, but they sent riders that we did not order, we did not get the double dress. we didn't get dresses for that. it is not as if they are close to running and getting any of them. if they make the mistake. when we told us we had to talk to the manager and not return the salat until he agreed to him for a refund. they use to separate the bread/cheese from the suppe so that they can prepare it at home. I guess they didn't train their new employees properly. we were very disappointed. we returned the salate, which is an oriental salate, which needs the dressur to be what it is. they finally gave us our money back, but with a big job. we will never return to this incompetent restaurant again. it is very sad because we loved this place, but for the last command they were not correct and their attitude stinks easy. go to your own risk. the salat lacked in mangles and it was just salat and? someone who knows how to train must take this place or it won't be there much longer. I must say there was no excuse when we took it back, only here is your money wow!
Seems like Applebee's has definitely stepped up their game from what they used to be. Food was delicious and a great price.
I have never been so poorly served in any Applebee's, ever. This one is in my neighborhood and eating and drinking in it last night was not good anything. The place was minimally occupied at 4:30 p.m.. No one at the bar where my friend and I sat down for a couple of glasses of wine and later an order of French fries. The bartender was doing everything but waiting on customers. She kind of ignored us to do putter things behind the bar until we spoke up and asked for some service. There ensued much hemming and hawing, inability to work the register, not actually speaking to us, having to ask for someone to help her, puttered some more and eventually we got our wine.I kept watching the staff roam around, slap each other on the back, chat, kibitz and basically ignore the customers in the bar area. That included those in booths around the bar. When her relief came to sign on, there was more confusion and head scratching and the new bartender couldn't find anything, couldn't work the register, etc. A second round of wine and an order of French Fries was met with excruciating indifference plus a comment from the bartender that they didn't have any clean wine glasses. WHAT? I can't imagine this. It is inexplicable. The Fries when they came out were barely cooked, cold, soggy and disgusting. Inedible. My friend who was paying would not say anything. As we were attempting to check out, (my friends credit card dissapeared into the ether along with the server who took it and she had to go behind the bar into an employee area to get someone's attention. At this point, some really unhappy folks at the booths gave up waiting for service and went to the bar to try and order drinks themselves. This was also met with a confused and inattentive response from a bartender and he seemed stupefied by the request and that that someone should ask him to actually do something. The gentleman who made the request was not happy and said so out loud. His comment was, Since we can't get a drink and food order taken at the tables, we decided to storm the bar As I left, I thought, if this is how this place runs during happy hour I can't imagine how bad it is at the dinner hour. Oh, and by the way, when we sat down the bartender told us it was Happy Hour. When the check came, the drinks were billed at full price, the guy said he couldn't fix it, didn't know how much the drinks cost at either Happy Hour or during regular times and once again, flailed at the register as if it were a recalcitrant Toaster Oven and we left. Appalling.
Service was very sub-par, food was not bad...once it finally arrived. Had to call the Manager over to get my drink after waiting more than 20 minutes from when the order was placed. Half our party got their food, then 5 minutes later two more got their food, then another 8-9 minutes before the last entrée was delivered. Manager offered to take care of a few items from the bill, got credited 1 $4 item. If K-Mart had been a restaurant...it would be called Applebees!
Went into Applebee's Glenwood and State with my husband and Rashad was at the hostess spot although she is actually a bartender. As a server came up to let her know we were family so please put us in his section she didn't let him even speak. She flicked her finger at him and went psst.. Seriously? Can you say rude. If I wasn't worried about getting him in trouble I would have let her know.
