We chose to sit outside because... read more We had dinner on our first night at Lake Garda at the El Refol restaurant. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We chose to sit outside because of the wonderful view, which is truly worth it. However, as night falls, many insects appear. Our drinks were full of them and we had to eat practically in a rush, so much so that we ended up giving up on dessert. Do I recommend the restaurant? Absolutely! But my tip is to choose a table inside, especially at night. We will definitely return!

The real... read more We had a very nice meal here last July. Although the name might suggest otherwise, the food is definitely authentically Italian and of decent quality. The real standout is the lovely view of the lake, which makes for a very pleasant setting. While it’s in a bit of a touristy spot, we found it wasn't overpriced at all—it’s actually quite reasonably priced for such a prime location. A solid 4-star experience and a great place for a tasty, casual dinner by the water.
