We just got back from a two-night stay at the Inn, and we can't wait to return. It’s such a charming place with a picturesque setting, intriguing history, and welcoming staff. What Dayton VonRueden doesn't like about Benbow Historic Inn:
This was a strange dinner evening at Benbow Inn. The wait staff were walking at an unusually fast pace from kitchen to tables. Made it hard to have a relaxing dinner as they bustled about. We had to request eating utensils after entrees served and again when dessert was served. Fish entree was salty and steak entree was served sliced in small pieces. Never seen that before. Rode past this place for years growing up decades ago, but never got to see the inside. Fortune was with me on a trip through the area. Stayed over night. Very cool place! Beautiful inside and out. Everything I had hoped and expected. Felt welcome by allstaff members. Excellent food and drinks.
Many visits over many years. Always exceptional service. The restaurant is excellent and the menu well prepared. Terrace rooms have a lovely view. All in all, it's great stay in the Redwoods. Nice bar, cocktails, wine list. Whisky selection could use some work some nice single malts perhaps a local Bourbon.

Just stayed here yesterday. Such a beautiful hotel! The view from the rooms are just breathtaking. One of the most friendly and accommodating staff I've experienced! Room was very charming, courtyard is beyond gorgeous. Highly highly recommend.
Beautiful scenic and elegant. The historical record and context is not overplayed but such nice wood and decor. The staff was kind and very helpful enjoyed my breakfast and the whole stay immensely.
