I like the painting, the restaurant's layout, and the sushi . The mushroom soup was very good, in my opinion. The service wasn't great; I think they're taking advantage of the tablet code situation... (you never know! . I'm 8 years old...
Without a doubt the best Japanese restaurant in Gap. A very large, beautiful, and spotlessly clean restaurant. The return of the lunch menus with coffee included remains excellent value for money. And the service is still fast. I highly recommend it.
This place was recommended to us. We quickly realized our reservation had been mishandled. The woman who greeted us seemed very friendly, but the bartender/waiter was anything but welcoming. He placed the dishes on the table without explaining them to us. We repeatedly asked on the tablet how to order wasabi and ginger—which is supposed to be the standard way to order sushi—but we'd never seen them. We were almost embarrassed to thank the waiter for bringing us the food, as he stood behind me and placed it on the table without even bothering to ask who had ordered. Basically, he just put it down and told us to figure it out ourselves. We have no complaints about the food itself, which was decent, but the atmosphere was awful and the service was atrocious. It's a shame; welcoming customers with a smile is the bare minimum!
As regulars at this establishment, both for dining in and takeout, we were disappointed... by the rather cold atmosphere, and also by the fact that it's no longer all-you-can-eat (this was only announced on-site, not on their website, and after returning from over two months of vacation... quite disappointing). But that's not all! The quality and quantity are no longer up to par! The slice of salmon around the salmon rolls is transparent and doesn't even go all the way around anymore. Furthermore, they've become extremely small, and they break as soon as you pick them up with chopsticks. In short... reducing the quantity and quality while increasing prices isn't going to make this business work. Hoping this review will help improve things.
