We have enjoyed almost everything we've tried here. The place is often packed and quiet loud on weekends, but we don't mind. My biggest complaint would be the sometimes rude waitstaff. View all feedback.
Food is always good with large portions, and of course a complimentary post-meal shot of ouzo. Prices are very reasonable.

Crowded restaurant, for a good reason. Good food for a reasonable price. Gangelt is a small town, but the restaurant attracts people from the region.
The first time we went the restaurant wasn't that packed since it was a weekday. The food was absolutely delicious. The second time it was the weekend and was completely packed. This affected our service negatively. We waited quite a while just to get menus. Otherwise the food was still good. I would suggest going during the week to avoid the massive crowds and on the weekends make a reservation.
This place is a great deal bigger than what it seems from outside. Don't sit right where you walk in, keep going back, past the bar, and there is a huge room that is decorated in a really exotic way, reminiscent of Greece and/or south Asia (my better-traveled-than-I husband says). The menu is almost too big to decide on a meal. They have some Greek food, some Turkish, some German (schnitzel), some Italian (Pizza, baked noodle dishes, baked cheese-over-veggie dishes). The lamb we had was really good. I had an authentic pork dish (Schweine-Lachs something) which reminded me of the shakshuka from Israel; good comfort food, but next time I will go with something else. They have a small selection of fish dishes on Fridays that look really good. The appetizer platter couldn't have been better, with its grilled/roasted zucchini (or was it eggplant?), red bell peppers, different spreads, warm bread, etc- almost big enough for a meal. Really impressive place.
