No complaints at all about this restaurant. It's a local bakery that serves light breakfasts and lunch type fare. My son and husband have had their sandwiches, delicious and I had a breakfast wrap, also delicious. The owner is quite helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be prices are a little expensive but you are paying for quality. I would eat here again. They have a well stocked bakery as well, excellent p... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about The Gander Bread Box and Café:
Decided to have a lunch based on reviews. Group of 3 with 2 having sandwiches and me, an omelette. The omelette was a big mistake. Flat, lukewarm and tasteless. Be advised that omelette is not on the menu and this was a special request. The sandwiches were good. I'll return for lunch again but omelette is off my list at this establishment. View all feedback.

Super friendly, accommodating staff. Gluten free options and a good variety of baked goods. So happy we found this hidden gem.
Went to this little bakery for a breakfast takeaway on my way out of townThought it would be better than stopping at Tim Horton's.

We bought a loaf of freshly baked/sliced bread for $1.99 It appears to be quite a popular place for the bakery, I can see why.
Staff is friendly and the food is pretty good.I ordered the Touton poutine with Cesar salad. The food was pretty good and an ice coffee.I was satisfied with my food and my friends had a bagel breakfast sandwich and said it was ok.Would definitely try again
My sister eats gluten free and they had so many options - bagels, wraps, English muffins and cookies. She was able to have any sandwich she wanted. All the sandwiches are made with real meat, not deli meat, and are delicious. We met the owner and she could not have been more welcoming and helpful!

The owners have a great understanding of gluten-free issues. I have a daughter who is Celiac, and there are several options available, including a dedicated fryer and prep station. The staff is friendly, and they take gluten-free seriously—what more could you ask for?
Great selection of gluten-free options and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The owner's daughter has celiac disease, so they really prioritize gluten-free safety. I enjoyed a delicious club sandwich and a peanut butter cookie, both gluten-free.
Very knowledgeable staff about GF. Ate here with my celiac daughter, selection of snadwiches, cookies, bread, bagels. She was very happy here
Started working here a few weeks ago, have been diagnosed with celiac for multiple years. Everyone on staff understands celiac and take multiple precautions to avoid cross contamination (separate area of kitchen, hand washing, separate toaster etc... Everything on the menu has a gluten free option for a fair price. Typically on a gluten free order we only have one member work on it while others work on non gluten free orders to best prevent cross contamination.
