great experience! highly recommended if in the area with dogs. meal was top notch and then much more. the 4 plucked children ate some of the two plates and had a water to share, even refilled. No one on the staff has beaten an eye when we went to leasing with two dogs. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The West End Restaurant Sandbar Grill:
the atmosphere is beautiful with a good view of the marina. the personal is friendly and welcoming and ensures that they take care of themselves. the food and drinks are not on the same level as the service. the food was good, but not at the price. fish tacos with load bought tortillas for $21? the drinks were good, but mostly ice and light on the alcohol. the image contained the ice left and even had some melted. if... Our party of 10 went this weekend. They weren’t too busy and we were seated right away. We sat without any acknowledgment and two starving kiddos so after 25 mins. we decided to leave. Maybe they were short staffed, maybe there was a problem in the kitchen but we didn’t see any staff on the floor. Had someone at least said, hey we’re busy or we’ll be with you soon, we could’ve been more patient. But it’s covered outdoor seating, it was Hot and without even being brought any water…we kindly left. Willing to try again as every place has an off day.
Was told by the waitress that it was the best country fried steak but when it came to the table it was big and looked good but the first bite I could tell that it had no flavor at all!!! I tried to season it and even added some hot sauce but it could not be rescued at all. The waitress didn't care or offer to make thing's right just gave us the bill. Sad food sad service.
Had dinner to go. Enjoyed the fish and chips, fried Pickles, snow crab legs, and a cheeseburger.Food: 5/5
One of the best Civiches around and the coconut shrimp were big and delicious. Amazing service and delicious food right on the water in the Marina. We've been coming here for years and haven't had a bad experience yet.Food: 5/5
Our first red flag was when they sat us in a corner table and ignored us for quite a long period of time. My daughter finally got up and asked someone for menus because we were starving and had never been there before. We should have gotten up and left. A waitress ran over and acted as if she had been busy despite the fact that she had seen us while cleaning up dirty dishes off of a table two feet away. Her other table already had their food, and best I can tell we were her only other table. The restaurant was not full. We ordered and finally got our food in a timely manner by another staff member. However we didn't see our waitress again till we were almost done with our meal. The crab legs were so soft we couldn't even crack them. We had to take a fork to find what little meat they had on them, and the other meals were subpar. Nachos were mostly dry, and mashed potatoes were bland. The waitress was MIA throughout our whole meal despite it being a small place. She finally came at the end to take some plates, and then made us wait even longer for our ticket. I suggest going only if you like overpriced, subpar food and being ignored by waitstaff.
