Taquilo's - Galveston

I decided to try this highly-rated restaurant on Google. I ordered the beef fajitas, queso, and a beer. The salsa was warm, which was one of the few things I didn't enjoy; I prefer my salsa cold with hot chips. Overall, I rated the experience a four, though I think a high three might be more fitting. The fajitas were tender and cooked to my preference, but unfortunately, they lacked flavor. The queso was satisfactory. The price for the beef fajitas was $34.00 for a single serving, and the portion was generous enough for two people if they weren't too hungry. The guacamole was fresh, but the tortillas were not. On the bright side, the beer was quite cold.

We had a fantastic experience with the top-notch margaritas, queso, and chips at this restaurant. The service was excellent both at the bar and during our second visit when we sat at an indoor table. I highly recommend the margaritas!

Excellent eating. we came to lunch while we walked the historic quarter and made the right choice. fresh ingredients, friendly staff and fair prices. paul from chicago was our waiter and has done an excellent work. he is probably one of the most human and preliminary workers I have seen in the food industry for years. I would recommend this place in a second about any other in the opposite for tex mex. the next day we tried another place near the beach and it could not come closer.

Stopped in after Artwalk. It was busy and there was about a 20 minute wait. The waitstaff was very friendly. Good chips and salsa. The food arrived very quickly. The shrimp in my taco salad were very good. Watch out for the grilled serrano pepper that comes with the Effen Mary (soooo hot, but in a good way ? ? .

Really good Mexican food; maybe not as Tex-Mex as you'd be used but a good blend of authentic and Tex-Mex. I would not recommend the queso bit I enjoyed everything else. My family had mixed opinions.
