Came and tried some barbacoa after seeing other reviews and was honestly disappointed. The meat was bland and seemed too lean to be barbacoa. Now it was cheap, $11.99 a pound but there was literally no flavor to the meat. Ordered a pack of tortillas and was kind of shocked when I realized the tortillas were cold like they were kept in the fridge to stay fresh. And only one salsa cup was provided. You guys rock!! The best on this island. For starters, the tamales are OFF THE CHAIN!!!!! LOVE THE BRISKET ALSO...I had to post because I love brisket and have wasted money on some restaurants. This spot is OUTSTANDING. Y'all deserve 10 stars. First time here today and won't be my last
You cannot beat the service here. Everyone is so nice! Best brisket tacos by far!! The sausage and ribs are also really good. They also had fajita chicken and fajita beef as a special for Cinco de Mayo. Some of the best fajita beef I've ever had. Definitely a new favorite for us in Galveston. We will be back any time we are in town.Food: 5/5
This may be the first time I did a review from my seat. Outstanding. I had the most amazing tamales with such a tasty salsa, pinto beans and green beans. .... THE BEST EVER. Everything was peak flavor and I can not conjure a memory of what amwas ever this good for these item. The masa for the tamales was the tastiest smoothest ever. The filling was sooooo aromatic. Crazy. The pinto beans were the best ever, and the green beans ahead by a light year above any in the past. I am just a drop in customer from Dallas, where we have lots of very good tex men. But the 4.7 star average is no lie from where I sit. I can not round mine down from the 5 star peak. I so hope I can grab some of the ribs before I leave in 2 days. This place is fantastic!! Employees were very upbeat and pleasant. The barbacoa was delicious and not very greasy. The tamales were amazing, probably some of the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be stopping by every time we’re on the island.
Best Tamales anywhere! Small family owned take out BBQ place. I try to visit every time I go to Galveston. They have really great brisket too!Food: 5/5
