My favorite spot! The staff is amazing, the service is top-notch, and it's always so clean! Plus, the music is fantastic!
My 8-month-pregnant wife urgently needed to use the restroom, so she politely asked the staff if she could. Unfortunately, the employee responded rudely, stating that they don’t have a restroom for customers. I understand that there isn’t a public restroom at this location, but there are times when exceptions should be made. I plan to reach out to corporate this week about this issue.
Overall, the staff at the Smithville Wawa are generally very nice. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about a young woman working the register this evening. She didn’t respond when I greeted her, failed to say thank you, and even shouted to her coworkers that something smelled like trash. It was far from professional. I understand that young people can be immature, but it’s time to act responsibly when you have a job!
Chris was an exceptional young man. As someone who also works in the food service industry, I truly value excellent communication behind the counter, and that’s exactly what I saw from him and his team. There was another young woman—whose name tag I missed, but I believe her name was Sheila. She had brown hair tied in a bun, wore a black shirt, and hoop earrings. She helped Linda at the register before moving on to food service. My only suggestion is that they update their whiteboard when shifts change, as I initially thought Chris was Mike until I noticed his name tag. I visited around 5 o’clock, and the entire team did a fantastic job!
My wife, who is 8 months pregnant, urgently needed to use the restroom. She kindly requested permission from an employee to use their bathroom but was met with a rude response, stating that there was no restroom available. While I understand that they might not typically offer public restrooms, I feel that exceptions should be made in situations like this. I'm not sure if we will be returning anytime soon.
