Reviews - Mito
Reviews summary
A neighborhood Asian spot that shines with rich ramen (tonkotsu, tantanmen), comforting teriyaki and standout milk tea and mochi, paired with friendly, attentive service and a clean, relaxed dining room. Regulars praise generous ramen portions and flavorful entrees, but inconsistency resurfaces: smaller servings, soggy or frozen appetizers, scarce sauces, occasional missed delivery items, and troubling reports about sushi freshness. Ideal for casual ramen and boba lovers—exercise caution with raw fish.

A quaint but respectable little establishment with a delightful and refreshing menu. I have not had a tea yet I didn't like, if you like it with Boba, you're in for a treat. If you know what to expect the texture is fun and really helps slow you down toenjoy the subtle flavors. Mito's noodle bowls and surprising favorites like the Mito fries, are full of flavor and a delightwithout leaving you weighed down. You'll look forward to your next visit.
The went with some friends and the food and service were great and the price was nice as well. We order the TakoYaki, Tonkatsu Ramen, Shrimp Tempura Ramen and the Tantanmen and everyone had a great meal. The Mito milk tea and Jasmine tea are also good.Picture is the Tantanmen
Been here several times now. Food is always good. Nice variety of Ramen bowls and the spring rolls, mito fries and drinks are all excellent. Nice clean attractive atmosphere pleasant staff and music at a level that actually allows for comfortableconversation. Great place !
Great experience! We started with an American Roll for appetizer that was not only unique, but delicious. Then, I had the Tantanmen Ramen and my wife had the Tonkotsu Ramen and both bowls were amazing. We finished off with green tea and vanilla mochifor dessert. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Great customer service and clean establishment. We will definitely beback!

We absolutely love the soups and the chicken bun! We visit at least once a week!
I wouldn’t say this if I weren’t highly confident of it, as I realize the effect it can have on an establishment’s reputation, but I got the sushi sashimi platter for two, in addition to four different orders of ramen, and within minutes of eating the second piece of sushi (tuna) I contacted scombroid poisoning. I have had very minor reactions in the past to fish past its prime, a bit of soreness on my tongue and such, but in a lifetime of eating tons of sushi and fish, I’ve had it only a few times, only when eating salmon and never when eating sushi, and never nearly this bad. My tongue swelled up to where I couldn’t speak properly, and I felt some welts swelling up further back in my throat. Thank God the hotel I had gone back to had Benadryl for sale in the lobby. If I had been dining in at the place, I’d have been leaving in an ambulance. At the studio within 20 min of purchasing it, so spoilage on my end was not a factor. I was sore enough at having spent $55 for what was immediately obvious was not well prepared or high quality sushi, and pretty intent on getting a refund, but it’s more important to me that other folks visiting the area know and avoid the same situation, as someone more sensitive to histamine could be killed. Every piece of fish I inspected was in poor shape, I would have gone with grocery store sushi over the very appearance of this stuff, and I should have trusted my gut the moment I popped the lid and laid eyes on it. Sushi is expensive to buy because it assumes the vendor to be diligent about obtaining fresh and high quality ingredients, but if the vendor does not hold up their end of the bargain, customers can be put in serious peril. If a restaurant can’t do their part in the sushi bargain, they should stay out of the sushi game. I will be reporting the same to the New Jersey Dept of Health and CDC. And if I’m being honest, the tonkatsu ramen was phenomenal, so it really was a damn shame.
I had already ordered takeout from here probably 20 times before coming in to eat with some coworkers. I didn't think I could like this place any more than I already did, but I was wrong. I got pork gyoza and house stir fried rice, both of which I've had as takeout before. Food came out quickly, presentation was beautiful, and of course everything tasted fantastic. Our servers were kind and attentive. Despite its small size, Mito manages to create a nice atmosphere for guests who wish to eat in. Will certainly be ordering more takeout but also stopping in to dine in again :
I really want to like this place. But this was my third time ordering from here and the third time was not the charmI didn't think it was possible but the portions definitely got smaller. The $17 seafood Ramen had literally 6 total pieces of seafood in it...My EEL sushi had the most minimal amount of EEL in it, and super skimpy on the rice. The calamari are frozen rings, and we weren't even given enough dipping sauce to finish the calamari with. The spring rolls were soggy and again tasted as if they were fried from frozen. Not enough sauce was given for anything and unfortunately this will be my last time ordering from them.I understand the current high price of food, but for $62 I expect a whole lot more quality.Advice. Stop trying to cut corners and cost because repeat customers are much more valuable than money saved cheating us out of food and value.
I visited Mito for the first time and was truly impressed. The atmosphere is lovely and charming, and the people there are really friendly. It was nice to see the owner making an effort to connect with the customers; this commitment to both the business and its patrons is crucial. The food was outstanding—I had the shrimp fried chicken, which I thoroughly enjoyed. And the mochi? It's the best I've ever had! I highly recommend this place!

The Korean-style wings were fantastic, and I particularly enjoyed the seasoned soft-boiled egg. Everything was served quickly and accurately, and all the dishes were hot and delicious. However, I wouldn't recommend the shrimp gyoza again, as they lacked the flavor of the pork gyoza.
This was my first time ordering from Mito Asia, and I was really impressed! The Miso Ramen was fantastic; I requested it to be spicy, and it turned out just right. The Chicken Fried Rice and the Pork Gyoza (6 pieces) were also delicious. Now that I know there's a great ramen spot nearby, I will definitely be coming back!
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The ramen had a strange and off taste, and it was way too sweet. The shrimp teriyaki was dry, chewy, and lacking in flavor. Additionally, the soup that accompanied the shrimp teriyaki was excessively sour. I would give this place zero stars if it weren't for the fact that the delivery person was friendly and respectful.
The food was good, the teriyaki had a lot of veggies and shrimp was well cooked. The snow crab roll was good and fresh. The gyoza was a little disappointing in terms of size and filling but not too shabby, wish I could comment on the spicy shrimp roll but I didnt receive it.
