Darby House - Galloway

We could not have made a better decision for our wedding day than selecting Darby House as our venue! The venue is beautiful, unique, and full of character. The team there is so passionate and wonderful to work with. Katarina was our coordinator and she was incredible to work with during the planning process, accommodating as much as she could to our vision for the day, providing helpful suggestions, and even offered to make a sign for us for our ice cream cart. On our wedding day, we had to make a last second move to inside for a storm (thank goodness we did as it POURED), and Katarina and the team handled this seamlessly not to mention the inside reception space is gorgeous. This also threw some wrinkles into our timeline for the rest of the evening, but we didn’t notice a thing. The Darby House team helped take the stress out of our hands, which helped us enjoy the day even more. And we honestly can’t say enough about the venue and property we would have took pictures for hours if we could just to hit all the incredible and unique photo spots. And the amount of people who complimented the venue space, or said “this is so cool”, or “the drive into here is so pretty” was cool to hear. If you’ve skipped everything above, just know that you can’t make a better decision than Darby House for your wedding day.

Our wedding was absolutely seamlessly incredible, and a large part of that was due to our incredible vendors, including of course Darby House. The site is literally made for weddings—we had plenty of space for our wedding party to get ready, ample room for dinner and dancing, and every photo location around the event space was mind blowingly beautiful. The event staff were incredible with helping iron out all the little details and making sure everything went smoothly. Big thanks to Nicole and Andrea for their dedication to making our day perfect!

We are so unbelievably happy with our decision to choose Darby House as our wedding venue. It provided the exact setting we were looking for with an outdoor ceremony next to the water and a lovely backup indoor option in case of rain. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, eliminating the need for elaborate decorations, and the land made for so many beautiful photos. Nicole was our initial point of contact as well as our day of coordinator, and she was absolutely amazing to work with. She was extremely attentive, answering all our questions, and accommodating us in any way she could to make sure our wedding day was perfect. Their list of recommended vendors made the selection process much less overwhelming and provided us with confidence that we were hiring reliable, professional people who were familiar with the venue. I recently attended a wedding and reception at this restaurant. It is an excellent venue with a variety of spaces available for events. I was able to sneak a peek at the Galbreath family sports memorabilia in a back trophy room, which was a treat. The collection is quite impressive. Is there any possibility of sharing it in a more public venue?

Selecting Darby House as our wedding venue on Oct 16th, 2022 was the best decision we could have made! We feel incredibly blessed by everything that Darby House provided for us. The venue itself, along with the managers, were absolutely beautiful and lovely. We had Alissa as our Day Of Coordinator and she was amazing - so kind and helpful all the way through our wedding night. We can't thank her enough, she truly is the best!
