large homemade kitchen near the wall of the old city! the menu is not very long, but it does not have to be. everything we have tried was delicious! What User doesn't like about La Taverna:
Cheap and cheerful. The waitress was lovely; the food is OK but not special and there is no wine list; you can only have white, red or pink, none of which are good. Also, it's small and very noisy. View all feedback.
Great food and service to fit. a relatiw small menu with the strange tagesspecial, but perhaps a good thing as it was all so fresh. the frutti di mare was a highlight as the polpette di polpo. gnocci with gamberoni was comfort food. an affogato with Marzano-Liquer was a perfect finish. gallipoli itself is beautiful and this is a recommended place. grazie!
Delicious, worth the price. £52 for two courses 0.5L wein, and water, and cover fee.

Very tasty eating, very friendly service, perfect place to lunch
Homemade and tasty food. Nice tuna tagliata but the octopus ragu was to die for!! excellent service!
