Coney Island - Galesburg

'THE ' place to go for hot dogs. Another gem in Galesburg, although not a hidden one. Offer a wide variety of dogs at somewhat reasonable prices, they are worth the price though so don 't let that stop you. Family owned and operated so they go the extra mile. This is a MUST stop place for my family and it should be for yours as well. My wife highly recommends the Coney Slaw Dog, as do I. Although you pretty much cannot go wrong with any choice. It 's a smaller location, and loaded with old time memorabilia, but just adds to the charm of this wonderful place.

If I were stranded on an island with a dog, it would have to be a Coney Dog. I have discovered my love for Coney dogs since I started traveling in 2012. A delicious hot dog topped with meat, onions, and mustard. Hot dogs are like burgers and pizzas, with endless customization possibilities. Coney Island's menu proves just that. I tried the Jalapeno Cheese dog and the BBQ dog, each priced at $2.50 - an incredibly cheap deal in my opinion! The Jalapeno cheese dog was very good, but the BBQ dog was absolutely amazing. I would rate this place 5/5. Some people may find it cramped and dingy, but if you overlook that, you will be dreaming of a return visit just like me.

Once you discover this restaurant, you will definitely fall in love with it. The main reason is that they are the only restaurant to have an open flame grill since their opening (which was in the 1920s, even though open flame grills were outlawed in the 1950s). My family has been eating here for six generations, and the experience remains the same as always. They offer a wide variety of hot dogs. If you're looking for nostalgia, delicious simple food, and reasonably priced items, this is the place for you. And to top it off, you can still enjoy a glass bottle of soda. Don't wait any longer, come over and start your own tradition.

If you're in Galesburg and looking for a quick bite, this restaurant is a must-visit. There's nothing better than enjoying 2 Coney Dogs with a side of chips and a soda for lunch! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is excellent, and the prices are affordable.

These hot dogs are incredible. They are definitely worth trying, and the staff is amazing. We got two hot dogs to take away since there is no indoor dining allowed (due to COVID-19 regulations).
