City Limits Steakhouse - Galesburg

This was our second visit to City Limits and the service was just as good as the first time. We started with an order of cheese curds, which was served in a generous portion with ranch and marinara sauce upon our request. They were hot and delicious. The spinach bisque had a unique cheese base compared to what I've had before, but it was also very tasty. The side salad we ordered was large and better than most I've had, with speck which was a new addition for me. I tried the rib Philly steak sandwich and it was the best I've had, with a generous portion of delicate, juicy prime rib and a flavorful paprika seasoning. It also had a unique cheese sauce that was surprisingly good. My friend ordered the catfish fillet, which she found a bit small for her liking but still tasty. Overall, it was another enjoyable meal and we will definitely be coming back again.

I went to the restaurant on Wednesday evening and had a delicious steak and shrimp dish. The taco bar on Sundays at 4pm was amazing, with homemade tamales, chili, various types of tacos (chicken, steak), guacamole, salad bar, and homemade tortilla chips. There was also an all-you-can-eat buffet. The young lady cooking in the back did a fantastic job, especially Charity who deserves five golden stars for her amazing work.

I visited the restaurant on a Wednesday night and ordered the steak and shrimp, which was delicious. I also heard about their Taco Bar on Sundays at 4, which was absolutely amazing. They had homemade tamales, chili, various dips, chicken, steak, guacamole, salad bar, and homemade tortilla chips. It was a bargain for an all-you-can-eat buffet. The young lady cooking in the kitchen does a great job, especially Charity who deserves five gold stars for her amazing work.

Wonderful food, great surroundings. I ordered a pizza, father ordered a steak, mother ordered a salad, and all were perfect. The owner came out to answer questions and ask how we did. Would recommend!

Tried the spinach bisque it had a different cheese base than most I've had but was also very good. We then had a side salad that was large and better than most every one I've had. It included bacon which I've never had on any other side salad that I can remember. I had the prime rib Philly steak sandwich. It had a large portion of tender, juicy prime rib and peppers and onions. It also had a different cheese sauce on it a little unusual but good. My girlfriend had the a catfish fillet that was a little small and she prefers whole catfish. All in all another good meal and we'll be returning again.
