Excellent meal. Server affable and friendly. Really felt welcome. They have truly healthy, creative menu items, but a couple of times a year I treat myself to a cheesburger. It was delicious!!! But best of all were the french fries. I saw them on another patron's plate and gave in! I savored every bite. These are not your typical fries! I'll be back. What Tayler Heidt doesn't like about Savory Kitchen:
We were excited for our evening at savory kitchen. We ordered the first course that was baked Brie. It looked great but tasted like kerosene- literally like alcohol. We were surprised and disappointed. I ordered the salmon with brussel sprouts and my daughter ordered the steak montage with fried green beans. The salmon was dry and the brussel sprouts not to my liking, but the green beans were actually very good. My husband took me to Savory Kitchen in Galena for my birthday. It is a small but very lovely place. The staff made it special and the food was delicious. Thanks!

Overall we were disappointed from the food being very questionable to how the service /atmosphere was in handling things. Definitely not worth the money and time.
Small but mighty bistro style restaurant on Main Street in downtown Galena ran by Chef James and Mike who is the server, bartender, and all the above! Their service is impeccable and impressive! The dining room seats 12 with 2 bar seats and outdoor dining for Lunch only. Lunch is available TWFS, walk in 12-3. Dinner is 4-8 WTFS reservations not required but highly recommended. We were able to get in on a busy Saturday night and enjoyed the Baked Brie, Garden Salad, Artichoke and Olive Salad, Beef/Shrimp Duo, and Veggie Pasta. Each course was so tasty, flavorful, seasoned well and so fresh! They believe in a relaxed dining experience so we enjoyed a pleasurable time without feeling rushed. I highly suggest you try Savory Kitchen when in Galena. Parking is street parking and easily walkable from the many B&B's in town. Price point is fair with quality and proportion size. James and Mike will make sure you have a wonderful dining experience!
