Good place to take kids to learn. Ski school instructors seemed organized, patient and positive. Several runs with a good variety for all levels. Terrain park looked cool, we didn't try it as our kids were beginners. View all feedback.
What Noemy Collier doesn't like about Chestnut Mountain Resort:
OMG clean the floor and tables people!!!this review is for the cafe. burned chicken tenders. fries were either rock hard or completely uncooked. hamburgers are pretty gross. only soft drink size looked like toddler cups.. no refills and over 3 dollars. when i told the cashier i thought it was too expensive, she said not my problem . stay away at all costs!!!!Bring your own sack lunch and drinks. Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your hotel. they compare thousands of booking sites and in the rule will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank you later! this resort is the best rated in this againstd. I've been here a long time. if they stay for a few days, they will not be released. we will definitely come back! great ski hills and resort, perfect for a comfortable camping trip or snowboarding, they can meet the pists directly from their rooms! will not be much better than that.
Been coming to Chestnut since I was a kid, it’s a great spot to ski for being only a couple hours away. Much larger than our local places. However, we had two issues when we visited last weekend. The quad lift was down and didn’t look like it’d open any time soon. This meant very long (20+ minute) lift lines Saturday during the day. Also, the food in the downstairs cafeteria was expensive and terrible. Not sure what else to say. The whole cafeteria/restaurant building is very dated. Don’t think it’s changed since I first came 20 years ago. It needs a full remodel.Gets 4 stars because of the good variety of runs and just the overall fun time we had.
It was fine. My niece wanted to go snowboarding. We went to Galena for a two day trip. She was out for a couple of hours. My sister, her mom and myself were in the lodge waiting for her. We had hot chocolate and were on our games on our phones. Neither can ski or snowboard. My niece had fun. That's what she wanted to do.
Beautiful accommodation in one of the best ski resorts in the middle west. very beautiful view from the ski slopes and west side hotel room windows. beautiful sunset. do not expect the four seasons when it comes to accommodation, but the rooms are nice enough, and all they lack in flashy, new equipment, they are more than with incredible service. each staff was helpful and accommodating from housekeeping service to reception and administration. highly recommended.
Came for everyone who can eat fish (for season already closed). it was incredible! 5 pieces! homemade chips were excellent! friendly staff! clean! I hope to try the pists of a day! a great thank you to my friend brian for the suggestion to come here!
