Galax Family

We visited for breakfast this morning and we're very pleasantly surprised by the great fresh-cooked breakfast and reasonable price. Their staff and management were friendly and went above and beyond to provide great service. Will return again to try their lunch selections.

So we stopped in Galax for a few days and found this place for breakfast. We had a couple eggs/bacon/gravy-biscuit and Philly cheesesteak omelette. Every thing tasted fresh. Good food, nice staff, awesome prices. Hope to go back!

Absolutely one of the best diners in town, coming from NYC they have such a great menu with a variety of options to choose from. The owners are so wonderful and such great people who make sure to accommodate everyone. Also, just like to point out the last post that was allowed on here, from Lola1958 or whatever her name is who “supposedly had breakfast there” is greatly fabricated as I don’t believe anything that they stated to be true at all. One thing that stood out, is if they truly had anything wrong why did they not bring up this up to the staff or management? Because I know for a fact that the waitresses always make it a point to ask how the meal was, so again why not say anything BEFORE they left? Kind of ridiculous to even make a post so derogatory on here and makes them look foolish if they could not fix the problem while they were there. I say this because any intelligent person would inform the management or the cook so they could remedy the problem. As a matter of fact, I’ve been here a few times and I know the owners would have been glad to fix any problem if there HAD been something wrong so this is where your story is coming out fishy and it is highly suspicious for a customer to not bring this to their attention. Shame on them for not saying anything while they were there as that is kind of difficult for them to fix the problem after they left. That approach would be having been much more appropriate, opposed to them posting such a derogatory and uncivilized review on here. So sorry that this individual felt like they had to be such a spiteful human being and not say anything when they knew that they should have. Bless their heart and maybe they'll find some common sense for any future establishment reviews! Either way Creekside café is a fantastic diner and is considerably the best restaurant that I have visited traveling through the south, love the owners and staff!

We recently ate breakfast at Creekside Cafe and encountered delicious omelets and biscuits, as well as friendly staff and atmosphere. We felt lucky to have stumbled on to this small cafe in Galax, and if we're ever in the area again, we will return.

Good small town diner. Open on a Sunday morning which was nice as I was traveling and my hotel didn't serve breakfast. Food was good and service was good too. Small town typical diner. All good.
