Les Arcades - Galan

This restaurant has recently re-opened under new management. It serves a fixed lunchtime menu on weekdays and evening meals with more choices on Fridays and Saturdays. On the day we went, the lunch menu comprised a starter – help yourself to salad, quiche, cold meats – a main course of a very tasty lasagne, and a choice of dessert – home-made pear tart (top-notch), chocolate mousse or fresh fruit. The price was 12€ which included wine with the meal and coffee afterwards. The service was friendly and efficient.

Great place to eat. Good choice of food friendly staff, beautiful bread made on site. We had the slow cooked beef cheeks fabulous. We go every time we are in Galan one not to be missed.

A group for lunch including one vegetarian and one genuine gluten sensitive. The set menu for the day was tagliatelles or andouillette- but the chef produced a vegetarian option and a gluten free alternative without a moment’s hesitation. Service is prompt and helpful, you can eat inside or out, the food is good and unpretentious, what is not to like for a simple French lunch?

The restaurant has been updated and we visited for a fixed menu lunch . Excellent atmosphere, service was very friendly. There was a buffet starter, very fresh, followed by a choice of two main meals, dessert, wine and coffee for a total of 13 euros. A bargain and a pleasure for a lunchtime destination. Very pleased and will be returning.
