What Nicholas Klank likes about Ranken Noodle House:
It's a small noodle house tucked away in a Kentlands alley/pedestrian walkway behind Cinco de Mayo. It's worth finding though. They are one of the few places where you can find thick udon noodles. The hard boiled eggs were lovely and earned a little dance from my gf. Tried this place for the first time last Saturday. Wife and I got 2 cold beef udons take out. The noodles were served hot (not sure if they normally do this but cold udon should have noodles run in an ice bath) while the broth was cold, so it just resulted in a lukewarm udon. Service was also quite slow and portions were small. Don’t think I’ll be returning View all feedback.
