Was marco ströhle at Hershey's a mag?
Great little place. Good food, good beer and friendly staff. I went there for first time in years because I was in the area and I'm glad I did. I wasn't sure if it was still open cuz it's kinda out of the way. As I said , I'm glad I decided to go because it was worth it. Cozy atmosphere and the food is good. You can't go wrong with anything. Bonus, I was there on a Friday night and they had love music. I'll be going... View all feedback.
What Sympatico G dislikes about Hershey's:
Newcomers are NOT welcome. This was my first time here and I was looking forward to listening to the band and have a couple of beers. Unfortunately, neither bartender would even look in my direction let alone serve me. No hello, no be with you in a sec. Nothing. It was palpable how unwelcome I was and clear they did not want me there. As a solo female it was downright creepy. So I gave up and left. This place is stri... View all feedback.
Great little out of the way surprise. The fried chicken in their specialty, it was excellent. Great service considering the pandemic. Poindexter (bartender) was friendly and personable. Ask him to tell you a joke. I went back a second time and had the chicken salad sandwich, it was delicious ?
Great food; especially the fried chicken. The atmosphere is great! The location has been around for awhile and they have renovated as time goes on. The staff are friendly as well so that?s a huge plus. The draft selection is minute but the do have a vast bottle and liquor selection. They have an outdoor patio as well for the nicer days; mainly for smoking. They have TVs for your games and sports. There is a nice size bar, bar tables and plenty of seating.
My friends band played this past Saturday night and no one warned the staff that it would get crowded. Ok so I can't comment on the normal turn around time for food. Not an easy location to find. Have lived in the area a long time and had never been to this part of Gaithersburg. My Google maps got me there no problem but almost drove by it. Parking is limited. Now on to the experience. When the waiter asked about drinks, I asked for a wine list. The waiter told me they only have house. When I asked what it was he said it was not the best, I could have red or white. I said I needed to rethink my choice. After that I knew the type of food to expect. Apparently there signature dish is their fried chicken (earning them a 4 star rating) and there menu is very chicken heavy. Being a vegan I ordered chicken tenders with honey mustard for my 5 year old, fries, hush puppies and a Modelo for me (didnt have Dos Equis). The chicken tenders looked dry but my 5 year old didn't care. The fries were OK but the organic ketchup was weird; tasted better with the honey mustard. The hush puppies were clearly a box mix. Ice cream shop was closed so no comment on that. Not a place I would recommend to any foodies but for a BASIC meal and drinks it was alright.

I've been 5 or 6 times, to see certain bands. It's a family friendly and fun place. Sound output not ideal from room shape acoustics or equipment. They serve large portions of well above avereage bar food. I think some peeps been going there fordecades. Staff is 100% friendly and hard working. A few entitled regulars don't know they are rude when they loudly yell anorder at an already swamped hustling bar tender. Yeah, there's a few neanderthals present.
