Corner Bakery Cafe - Gaithersburg

I recently visited this Corner Bakery for the first time in a long time, and I was extremely disappointed by my experience. The food was undercooked and appeared raw, which left me feeling apprehensive about eating it. After taking just a few bites of the pasta that seemed more cooked, I decided to return home and cook it again, as I didn't feel right about it. However, even after cooking it thoroughly, I still felt unwell. The next day, when I opened the pasta container, I was appalled by the rotten and foul smell. For the past three days, I have been suffering from severe tooth pain that made it difficult to eat or even talk. I had to schedule an emergency dental appointment, and now I’m facing the loss of a tooth. I typically don’t write negative reviews, and this is actually the first one I've ever written. However, I feel compelled to share this experience to warn others. This Corner Bakery location desperately needs to improve its food quality and kitchen practices. I've included pictures to show just how undercooked the food was—bacon that was pink, shrimp that looked raw, and even tomatoes that seemed like they hadn’t been exposed to any heat at all. I used to enjoy Corner Bakery, so it pains me to leave such a negative review. But if this continues, it could seriously harm customers. Please take action to rectify these issues!

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The portions are large and extremely affordable. They provide seasonings on the side, so you can add extra flavor if your dish needs it. Overall, you get a delicious amount of food without breaking the bank!

I ordered a chicken Caesar salad for pickup because this location usually has a long wait for food. When I arrived ten minutes later, they couldn’t find my order at first. Eventually, they gave me a salad—without chicken. I took it back, and they added the chicken, but when I finally sat down to eat, the salad was disappointing. The lettuce was old, and the chicken was cold and hard, almost as if it had been sitting unwrapped in the fridge. I will not be returning to this location; don't waste your time or money.

I went there for lunch, and the cashiers were very friendly, especially one named "Ernica" who brought me my food and checked in to make sure I was satisfied with everything. I definitely recommend this place for lunch and a quick coffee!
