I had an amazing experience at the restaurant, thanks to my waitress, Daniella. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and friendly, making my 21st birthday dinner truly memorable. Her recommendations for food and drinks were spot on. Overall, it was one of the best evenings I've had, and I’m grateful to Daniella for making it extra special. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Uncle Julio's Gainesville:
The waiter was fantastic, but there were some issues with our reservation; they didn't have enough seats and had to rush to find more. One dish arrived 30 minutes before the others, and a child's simple taco came fully loaded and arrived 20 minutes after the rest of the food, even after we complained twice about it. Additionally, no one sang happy birthday with the piñata, as the server told me that the other staff m... View all feedback.
We always love going, the food is amazing, and it's the only place I'll have a margarita around here. Going to Uncle Julio's is a bit of a destination for us, something we look forward to.
The skirt steak fajita was too salty. The frozen margarita too sweet. There was a very noisy large party. And the waiter was really trying but it was obvious you were understaffed.
Been there many times and mostly good this time we were totally forgotten to the point a manager ended up sort of serving us with things forgot and had to go find someone to help us on things like no tortillas were brought with the fajitas and we sat and sat but nothing. We ordered extra sour cream that never came but just let it go. Otherwise we do like the food so can’t complain about that and I’m sure we will give them another try.
The service was poor. We ordered the Chocolate Piñata. Usually there are blackberries inside the piñata, but they were missing.
Had a reservation and were told our table wasn't ready because people were still eating at our table. There was a table visible from us that was completely empty and that would fit our party size. After standing there for over 40 minutes we asked about the table but didn't get a response. We asked again about the table, one of the hostesses asked the girl seating people if we could be seated at that table and she said I guess (with an attitude) 5 of the 6 people in our party wanted to leave and go somewhere else but I enjoy their food so we decided to stay. We finally get seated but it took like another 20 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. We order our dinner and it took forever it seemed to get our food. One of the girl brought fajitas to the table and started to leave, the person that ordered it asked her about the tortillas and the woman rudely said they're coming. Dropping that kind of money in the establishment (apps, dinner, chocolate pinata for 6) you would expect a better experience. I don't think we'll be going back.
