I was greeted warmly by several employees as I entered the restaurant and the server continued the good experience. The food, crab stuffed jumbo shrimp, loaded baked potato and house salad with the house dressing, was delicious! The portions are generous and the interior of the restaurant has a warm feel. What Red B doesn't like about Poor Richard's:
Our family has been going to Poor Richard's for over 30 years. We've always loved the place. But, since it's changed hands it has gone down hill. Last night we had a party of 14 for a very special occasion which we had a reservation for well in advance. They ran out of prime rib which they are known for. They also were out of a couple other items. No chance this place remains successful under the new owner. View all feedback.

The food, crab stuffed jumbo shrimp, loaded baked potato and house salad with the house dressing, was delicious! The portions are generous and the interior of the restaurant has a warm feel. Overall it was an excellent experience and the people made sure of that. As a side note, for history buffs or those interested in WWII there's a nice collection of front pages of various newspapers from the war, located in the foyer. We spent a few minutes looking at the headlines.
Take out order for carry out pick up Some one else picked up our order. Things happen. When we arrived for pick up waited 30 minutes for order to be redone. When home the order had 2 sides left off. Called to discuss. Niot a good conversation. Normally I don't rank or discuss, but this was a bad experience.
Food was awful and tasteless There were 4 of us and we all said everything was awful Service was great .Chris was our server.He was awesome
Avoid! New ownership does not care about its employees or know how to run an restaurant. There is a 3% charge for USING A CREDIT CARD! Hello- this is a restaurant. Everyone uses a credit card. We had a great waitress and the owner is not supportive. We had a party of 12 and a reservation and waited over an hour for food. Poor waitress did all she could offering more drinks and bread but the restaurant is mismanaged and when we told the owner it was unacceptable he said this is a steakhouse . No excuse. Some of the food was so dry it was inedible. Avoid! Avoid!
Had 6:30 reservations. Got seated soon. Ordered food but waited a hour and half for food to come out. Had to ask for them to bring bread several times. They were 8 of us and every plate was awful. Waited another 30 minutes waiting on manager and finally after twice going to try and talk to manager , he said our meal was took care of. The waitress also spilled water down my daughter's back while filling up water glasses. Didn't say anything. Will never go back! Drove 45 minutes to get there. Came home and eat cereal. If I could give them a zero, I would!
