The best pizza style I had in the area of Gahanna. They use sausages and thicker slices of onion, which has a better texture. The crust is thin and crispy also with all blows. Eat while it is hot before the crust becomes cool and soggy. I definitely recommend to get it and eat ASAP for this reason. View all feedback.
This is the best pizza style I've tried in the Gahanna area. They use sausage and thick slices of onion, which give it a fantastic texture. The crust is thin and crispy, which adds to the overall appeal. Make sure to enjoy it while it's hot, as the crust can become cool and soggy if you wait too long. I highly recommend ordering it and eating it right away for the best experience!
I ordered an Italian sub, the famous Hank Newman salad, garlic bread with cheese, fried pickles, a 7-mushroom pizza, and a 14-inch pizza topped with pepperoni, sausage, and onion. The whole meal came to $46, which I thought was quite reasonable. First off, the Italian sub was delicious—definitely one of the best I’ve had in the area. Next up were the fried pickles; they are spears rather than chips, which I found fantastic. It’s rare to find fried pickles at pizza places, and these had a nice little kick to them. As for the garlic bread with cheese, it was quite good, made with sub rolls that were halved and roasted, topped with creamy garlic and melted cheese. Then there was the renowned Hank Newman salad. It was basically a standard salad but included a few extra ingredients like potatoes, celery, two types of olives, and pepperoni. The dressing was alright, and while the salad was decent, it didn't stand out. Moving on to the mushroom pizza, my wife wasn't too impressed, but I thought it was quite good. The standout, however, was the larger pizza loaded with pepperoni, sausage, and onion. I saw some reviews that claimed their sausage was bland, but that’s definitely not the case—it's well-seasoned and flavorful. The pepperoni was also tasty, and there was a generous amount of toppings, which is always a plus. If I had to describe the pizza style, it’s reminiscent of classic bar or tavern-style pizza from the Ohio/Midwest region, but a bit thinner and crispier. Yes, there may be some charred spots on the crust, but that’s part of the charm of the oven they use, and those bits actually taste good. The only downside I encountered was the customer service. When I went to pick up my order, I stood at the counter for a full five minutes making eye contact with several employees before someone finally acknowledged me. Putting that aside, Mr. T's is a fantastic spot for pizza and other delicious offerings. Overall, I would rate Mr. T's a 4.7 out of 5, but since Google doesn’t allow for decimal reviews, I rounded it down.
The pizza here is fantastic! I think many people are unaware of it since it’s somewhat tucked away from the bowling alley.
Old family favorite love the Italian subs family owned business These people are hard workers and dedicated to providing the best service for the customer.
Wonderful people making this Gahanna favorite. I do Ketogenic eating and these fit the lifestyle. Top are plain naked and bottom is the Spicy Garlic. I got a small Newman as well. Ya'll gotta get over to Mr. T's for your own. I'm not sharing these beauties. Next time I'm getting a crustless pizza made my way!
