The Rail Public House - Gadsden

The atmosphere is fantastic, and the restaurant is located in a trendy spot in downtown Gadsden, taking over the former Blu Chophouse location. (Just a heads up: Apple Maps led us astray; it’s probably a few blocks away from the old location.) You absolutely have to try the pimento cheese balls—they are amazing! We devoured them so quickly that I forgot to snap a photo. The Caesar salad was top-notch, and the beef brisket sandwich paired with Sidewinder fries was delicious! However, if I had to do it again, I would skip the shrimp tacos. They were just okay and could have used more sauce or shrimp at the bottom, along with a squeeze of fresh lime or perhaps some extra cilantro. The flavor just didn’t quite hit the mark for me, and the tortillas were crispier than I would have liked. Nonetheless, I still highly recommend trying the other menu items, as well as enjoying the ambiance, location, and overall experience. We will definitely be back!

The food was fantastic, and the brisket sandwich was outstanding—definitely some of the best I've had outside of Texas. The staff was polite and very helpful, and the restaurant was one of the cleanest I’ve visited. My only complaint would be that the burger was a bit dry; we may have ordered it medium well.

I enjoyed a delicious burger accompanied by a fresh, flavorful house salad. My wife tried the amazing spinach salad topped with grilled chicken. We've definitely found a new favorite spot!

Welcomed by the owners on the door. Nice! The menu has many variety, but not overwhelming. The house Cabernet is good, but a touch on the sweet side for my pallet. The bathroom on the ground floor is beautiful, but can be a challenge for seniors and those who help for family members. Beautiful wine room downstairs, and it looks like the perfect place for an office party. Servers are plentiful and very attentive.

Chicken Marsala over cheese ravioli, Greek salad, and fried pickles were AMAZING! 10/10 on quality of food and the genuine southern hospitality makes you feel like you’re being catered in the comfort of a friends home!
