We had no idea this was in BG! It was amazing. The food was great and the atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful. It felt open and spacious, like you had the whole place to yourself. View all feedback.
What Mona Adams doesn't like about Hartland Cafe:
No employees to take orders or prepare food. Arrived at 8pm on Friday night. Was advised by the front desk to go wait for the employee to come. Waited 15 minutes no employee emerged. View all feedback.
The food was ok but the service was great. The cook and our server was fantastic. The drinks were good (we ordered sweet tea. We loved the atmosphere most of all. We got a belly ache and nauseated after eating there so I am not sure if it was the food or what. Cost $33 for 2 buffets. I wouldn't go again for food, but for drinks or the just the peacefulness, yes.

I sometimes eat here at the cafe in the morning for breakfast. It is an awesome buffet in the morning and always great food. Staff is always warm and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone either staying at the hotel, or just wanting to enjoy a great breakfast buffet. Just remember when the hotel is full to realize there will be a wait, but most other times you can get set pretty easily. So, for sure check this place out!
Went here because 5th Street had a wait. They had a buffet, eggs, bacon sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy. It wasn't bad. It was late in the morning and I'm guessing the buffet would have been better earlier in the day. We were the only ones there so the waitress just had to sit and look at us to anticipate our needs. The cook did make a few fresh waffles and apparently he would make up a fresh omelette also. I thought it a bit expensive at $15.99 for what was on the buffet but the was edible and my better half didn't want to wait at 5th Street which is where we usually eat. Just have to remember not to wait until church lets out to go there on Sunday. I guess what I'm saying is there must be a reason this place was empty while the other place had a wait. Maybe no one knows about the restaurant at the holiday inn?
To few people to wait on people, you could tell they worked a lot of hours and we're tired. Food was great.
