It was the best food I've ever eat! Best bulguri in Cyprus) You have to visit this place
Do. Not. Eat. There.A nicely located place, next to a church, with tables in the street and under a roof, great to have a drink, but the food is terrible. We arrived on a Monday afternoon, wanted to eat, the lady told us there is lamb with chips, and salad. We asked about chicken, she said chicken is also there. So we ordered one helping of lamb with chips, one of chicken with chips and a salad. When the food arrived we were deeply disappointed, worst restaurant I have eaten at in quite a while. While the chips were homemade, they were dripping oil and some of them were still hard inside. The lamb was okish, but underseasoned, which was really a pity. The salad was also okish, nothing special, edible. But the chicken it was bland and you could use it to hammer nails into the wall. It was also dripping oil. Apparently both the chips and the chicken were fried quickly, one too short, the other far too long and that was that. We've made quite a drive to experience the food after reading all the nice reviews. And we will most definitely not return.
Fabulous restaurant serving excellent food with and a service in accordance with the highest standards. Great value. The food was gorgeously presented, delicious and was full of flavor. The staff are all very nice. Definitely recommend the Pefkos restaurant.
We were the only customers on a hot Tuesday afternoon. No menu formal menu but we were offered the choice of two hand written items, we chose the chicken for 12 Euros. What a meal, we were brought a procession of dishes, starting with village salad, grilled pita bread, tahini, grilled halloumi, a dish with courgettes and egg, then chips and finally fried chicken. Probably the most authentic meal we've had in Cyprus.
Wonderful family welcome from the staff/family who were also having their lunch next to us, meze arrived quickly and was more than generous, €13/person for meze. Note: the road in front of the restaurant is under construction so park near to the Folk Art Museum and then walk across the road and past the weaving/embroidery shop.
