Called in for coffee and was tempted to a slice of delicious lemon cake a very generous portion. Coffee was good too . Staff friendly and cafe is spotlessly clean. Would definitely call in again when I'm in the area again View all feedback.
What TheWoodmans doesn't like about Whispers Cafe Bistro:
We stopped off here for lunch on Monday, the staff were lovely and the food was nice and fresh.. only negative a member of staff came outside where we were sat and sat behinds us and started smoking although we and a few other couples were... View all feedback.
Been going for years and food always excellent but place looking very tired. Table seat split with stuffing coming out and table varnish looks a mess.
Lovely lunch with friendly staff. Food was very good liver and onions, sausage and mash! Swift service and Good value too
Pleasant and friendly staff Food average. Watch the world go by through the large window. Outside and upstairs seating. Specials board. There were dogs in this cafe which is not for me.
Good old fashioned food at a sensible price, I chose corned beef hash, but lots of other dishes available. Felt right at home here.
I ordered a bacon barm (sandwich to people outside of Lancashire) with the bacon extra crispy, for my son. At £6, it’s about on par for the location. What turned up was the cheapest barm I’ve seen outside of a greasy spoon cafe, and the bacon was so raw that it walked itself to the table and oinked. More fat than bacon. They even had the audacity to present this abomination on an open platter ie two halves of the barm with the slimy porcine offerings slapped on top. There is no one anywhere on God’s green earth that wants to be served raw bacon. Surely it must be taught in catering colleges how to properly cook bacon. Even vegetarians start to get a bit moist around their loins at the prospect of getting even the slightest sniff of a bacon barm. I beseech the owner of this woeful establishment to invest in a proper chef. Myself, I had an omelette that they managed to burn. £22 for the food and two cokes. If you’re in Lytham, I’d recommend The Estuary a couple of doors down. Much better quality and cheaper.
