Good beer, local village pub. Nice quite drink, pool table. A room up top for events, food or just can just have a quite beer up there when the rest of the pub is busy. Food menu is good, staff are friendly and helpful. View all feedback.
What LYNNEBOULTON doesn't like about The Plough Inn:
Visited this pub for our tea tonight and was very disappointed. Hard chips that were obviously frozen chips but still under cooked , chewy meat in the pie that must have been re heated on several occasions I'm not one to right reviews good or bad but i feel in this day and age when going out to eat is a treat , surely businesses would try and encourage you to go back . Disappointment is not the word ,don't waste your... View all feedback.
If you are thinking of eating here Don't . Definately the worst bar meal we have ever had, the soup was tasteless and watery. The accompanying roll was warm but brick hard. Chips were disgusting and overcooked. Fish definitely frozen and overcooked with inedible batter. The salad was warm, as our meals were possibly being being kept warm, while we were still eating our starters and the waitress tried to serve them. Possibly as the cook was due to finish his shift. Unfortunately the member of staff didn't want to know or acknowledge our complaints, never mind discounting our bill, but we were offered an ice-cream.
Lovely pub in the middle of Staining. Very welcoming. Plenty of seating. Nice pub menu, outside seats and music playing. Car parking and a children’s play park at the back. Katie is great!
Lovely food in which you get a lot of. The beef dinner was delicious. The atmosphere was great and the service excellent. Will definitely go there again.
Bar people pleasant. Food...pathetic. Pie soggy and meat tuff, toastie and pizza undercooked, mixed combo not eaten as fell on the floor. Asked for pizza to be put under the grill to brown a little. Waitress tried but chef didn't! Was told there wasn't a grill! Bar person lovely and very embarrassed and apologetic. Never asked if the food was OK. It definatley wasnt. Apologised for food which fell on the floor moving table, but to be honest that was what it was fit for! Perhaps a new chef is needed. The pub could prosper from an experienced chef.
A lovely village pub didn't eat in there just had a relaxing drink but from what I saw of the food coming out it looked good.the young barmaids were lovely
