The food is fantastic, perfectly cooked and served in a cozy atmosphere. Our dog was content by the fireplace. The dinner menu is excellent and they also serve a delicious breakfast. Located right next to the Travelodge in the center of town, it's the perfect spot for shopping, going to the beach, and visiting bars. We highly recommend this place!

After an illness and with it being my first time out for weeks, we decided to drive u... read more We have been to this restaurant many times and have always been impressed. After an illness and with it being my first time out for weeks, we decided to drive up to Lytham and have lunch at Fifty Føur. We sat outside and were followed in by another couple who sat nearby. After sitting there for a while we were eventually given menus but were not asked what we wanted to drink. We made our choice and again sat there for what seemed like eternity. The couple who followed us in had by now received their drinks and had ordered. I went to the Ladies Room and on the way asked a waitress if we could order. She said she had something else to do but would be back soon to take our order. When I returned she had still not been to take our order. My husband said he wanted to go somewhere else but just at that moment I caught the eye of another waitress and we placed our order. We had now been sitting there half an hour without even a drink. The food was ok; nothing to write home about. Think I'll go to the chippy round the corner next time. Less hassle.

The staff was polite and efficient, and the food was excellent. I started with black pudding and haggis Bon bons, followed by a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was tasty, with crispy lettuce and a not overpowering dressing. The only downside was that it was missing bacon, though it did have anchovies. Overall, a nice restaurant experience.
