Contribute FeedbackThe Kingfisher has recently received a flurry of unfavorable feedback, with diners expressing dissatisfaction across multiple visits. Many criticized the quality of food, describing the Sunday roast as one of the worst they’ve encountered, featuring burnt Yorkshire puddings and overcooked vegetables. Others lamented the steep drink prices, finding value lacking. Service received mixed reviews; while some praised the staff’s dedication amid technical issues, others reported unhelpful management, particularly regarding receipt requests for vulnerable patrons. Overall, the prevailing sentiment indicates a decline in both food quality and customer experience, prompting many to reconsider future visits.
We are regulars here and pop in for food every so often. The system was down tonight but staff were fabulous. All handled professionally and they were all working hard to make sure that customers got the best service. Well done all, as ever. Thank you
Went the kingfisher today and ordered a roast, beef roast it was couldnt order any other meats ... food came and the gravy was like p!ss, i ordered more gravy and to be honest i would rather poured pond water over instead proper horrible.. Next up was the cheescake still frozen solid nearly snapped the spoon when i dug into it I think you would get a better roast in HMP kirkham Avoid
Used to come over after work and meet the missis for a nice drink. But don't bother now, it's getting far too expensive. 2 pints of Strongbow cost £10.10. not worth it now.
Staff were friendly but that’s about where the praises end. Food was terrible. Served on white plates which just screams cheap and tacky. Ordered the mixed grill and asked for the steak medium rare, it came overdone and all the other meat was of extremely poor quality. Allegedly they use a local butcher, I beg to differ. Don’t bother, Wetherspoons quality but extortionate prices.
The worst Sunday roast I have ever had didn't try to finish it, the Yorkshire was burnt almost black, potatoes hard and stale, vegetables overcooked and watery. Fish and chips all batter and also burnt almost black. Two basic meals both terrible, good job the staff are good as the food certainly isn't. Won't go again.
